We are so easily distracted by having so much to do during Christmas season it’s a wonder we get anything accomplished. Wouldn’t you love to just stop, set down, relax, and simply think about all the good times you’ve had? Take the time to listen to what Jesus has to say about how to get the most out of this Christmas.

Getting ready for Christmas!
by
Thinking often about Jesus
“The shepherds ran to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. Then the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart and thought about them often.” Luke 2:16-19 (New Living Translation)
I get ready for Christmas by…
Thinking about what God is doing right now.
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Matthew 6:34 (Message)
Thinking about what Jesus is saying right now.
“She had a sister called Mary who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what He said.” Luke 10:39 (New Living Translation)
Thinking about my distractions right now.
“But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing.” Luke 10: 40a (New Living Translation)
Thinking about “one thing” right now!
“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (New Living Translation)
